(PR) HPE Develops New Spaceborne Computer-2 Computing System for the International Space Station

Hewlett Packard Organization (HPE) nowadays introduced it is accelerating place exploration and growing self-sufficiency for astronauts by enabling true-time details processing with state-of-the-art professional edge computing in room for the 1st time. Astronauts and house explorers aboard the Worldwide House Station (ISS) will velocity time-to-perception from months to minutes on different experiments in room, from processing healthcare imaging and DNA sequencing to unlocking critical insights from volumes of distant sensors and satellites, utilizing HPE’s Spaceborne Laptop-two (SBC-2), an edge computing system.

Spaceborne Personal computer-two is scheduled to launch into orbit on the fifteenth Northrop Grumman Resupply Mission to Room Station (NG-fifteen) on February 20 and will be obtainable for use on the International Place Station for the subsequent two-three decades. The NG-15 spacecraft has been named “SS. Katherine Johnson” in honor of Katherine Johnson, a famed Black, feminine NASA mathematician who was critical to the early good results of the place program.
